Recent projects:

  • The association between mental rotation and math achievement among elementary students

  • Self-regulated learning as a mediator of the association between executive control and academic achievement

  • Design, implementation, and evaluation of Brain Boost, an integrated cognitive and motivation training program

  • Development of motivation, cognitive skills, and academic performance across elementary school

  • How students navigate novel environments through regulating their learning (for example: how first year law students
    regulate their motivation and strategies in response to the environment and resources within law school)

  • Research into questions of motivation & achievement using California Motivation Project data

  • Dissertation study: Calibration of confidence ratings in elementary school mathematics, including research on the
    measurement, development, and malleability of calibration
